A little point for sure, but CNN is reporting that there are trace amounts of alcohol in sodas. Kind of like there used to be cocaine, basically, in Coca Cola. Apparently it happens “naturally.” But what is interesting is that the company says it will change to eliminate the alcohol … at least in the US. Here is what the CNN posting (June 29, 2012) says:
“Despite the statement explaining that traces of alcohol are really no big deal, Coca-Cola has announced that it will change the recipe for its sodas, but only in the United States.”
Does any of this sound like the way tobacco companies react differently when challenged in the US compared to what they do in other countries? Might well suggest that they do indeed listen to consumers whether they want to or not. Or at least for their own purposes.
