Eat It to Save It – Good for food and the food system too

Here’s a great article on the economic power of food. But once again assumes individual acts are more important than thinking of ways to change the entire system. Buying and eating organic or heirloom goods encourages others to do the same and drives down the price of these options. But why should we accept that we need to do this while living on the edge of the massively larger, “regular” food system that drops crums? We need a better way … a way to allow burgers, for example, to be the greatest ally in the fight against obesity! It’s possible. Shortly I will have posted my Nickel-a-Meal idea for one suggestion.
